In this video ,Dj shiftee shows us how he uses traktor effects, to do his remix of dead prez song hip hop. very interesting tutorial , mostly based on the usage of lfo and timings . hope you like it , I really enjoyed it , definitly worth 6minutes of pure skill. :D this tune is awesome. making dubstep in a different way , why not ?

How to make a dubstep song

Let's start with some basics about building your drums. How to make a dubstep song you asked me ?

Well, there are few different ways .Some starts with the drums then build the tune like rusko , others starts with the tune and then build the drums.

this video is very well explained and show many interesting tricks.I think starting with the drums can be a pretty good idea since it will give you some serious help with the tempo the video provided comes from dubspot instructors its is the part 1  done with ableton live.

lets start today with a very interesting tutorial made by rusko. he doesent show a lot of stuff on the screen and you canotice how high tech it is.

but for the theory nothing is best in my eyes. He will explains how he starts with the drums so he can later work on the tune. You should definitely look at this since it helped me a lot with the composition with ableton.

in the second part you can see further explainations on the shuffling, randomozing and the note length. rusko is a very friendly and kind guy as you can see when he is making dubstep. (maybe little powder)
